why it is often milder in areas such as coastal Maryland while areas such as Kansas or Iowa have more extremes in temperature? Answer: This experiment supports the idea that coastal areas are cooler and inland areas are hotter by showing water (coastal areas/Maryland) takes longer to retain and release the suns radiation. While with soil (Kansas/Iowa) retain and release the radiation faster causing temperature to drop or rise suddenly which may cause extreme temperatures. Any tips? Thank you.... Read More »
