If someone is homosexually married in a state that allows it e.g. Iowa, and then moves to a state who's constitution refuses to recognize homosexual marriage e.g. Texas. Can one get heterosexually married in that state without ending the homosexual marriage that doesn't exist (so far as there current state is concerned)? A followup, if the gay spouse dies in Iowa, with a large amount of debt. Is there any way Iowa and/or its companies can force the living spouse in Texas to pay? If not can a heterosexual married person from Iowa demand the same sort of de facto debt forgiveness?... Read More »
